Safety electricity tips

Electricity is an important energy source in the national economy, and it is also indispensable in modern family life. However, accidents such as death from electric shock, electrical fires, and damage to electrical appliances are easily caused without knowledge of safe electricity usage. Therefore, "safe electricity usage is critical to life."

(1) Safety instructions for home use of electricity

1. Do not overload the power supply. If the power load exceeds the specified capacity, you should apply for capacity expansion from the power supply department; large-capacity electrical equipment such as air conditioners and ovens should use dedicated lines.
2. To use qualified electrical appliances, do not buy cheap and inferior electrical appliances, wires, wire ducts (tubes), switches, plugs, sockets, etc.
3. Do not arbitrarily or invite unqualified decoration teams and personnel to lay wires and connect electrical equipment, install and repair electrical appliances and find qualified units and personnel.
4. The metal shell of the electrical appliances that are required to be grounded must be properly grounded. Do not forget to install a ground wire for the three-eye socket and the socket box; do not change the three-eye plug to the two-eye plug at will.
5. To select the fuse wire suitable for the load of the wire, do not thicken the fuse wire arbitrarily, and it is strictly prohibited to replace the fuse wire with copper wire, iron wire or aluminum wire.
6. Do not use wet hands or cloth to wipe live lamp heads, switches and sockets.
7. The leakage protection switch should be installed in a place free of corrosive gases and explosive hazards, and the leakage protection switch should be regularly tested for sensitivity.
8. Keep the clothes hanger at a safe distance from the power line, and do not rest the clothes pole on the wire.
9. To install the outdoor antenna of the TV set firmly and reliably, do not rise above the lightning rod nearby or near the high-voltage line.
10. It is strictly forbidden to set up private power grids to prevent theft, hunting, rodent hunting and electricity fishing.

(2) How to prevent common electricity accidents

1. Do not pull the wires randomly.
2. When replacing fuses, dismantling electrical appliances or moving electrical equipment, you must cut off the power supply and do not risk live operation.
3. When using household electric heaters such as electric irons, hair dryers, and electric stoves, people should not leave.
4. When you find smoke or smell in electrical equipment, you should cut off the power quickly and check.
5. Clothes cannot be baked on electric heating equipment.
6. To take care of electrical facilities, do not fly kites near overhead power lines and distribution transformers.

(3) How to deal with electric shock accidents

Current damage to the human body is mainly caused by electric burns and strong muscle spasm, which will affect the respiratory center and heart, causing respiratory depression or cardiac arrest, severe electrical shock injury can be disabled, and even directly life-threatening.

1. To make the electric shocker quickly disconnect from the power supply, immediately pull down the power switch or unplug the power plug. If the power supply cannot be found or disconnected in time, use a dry bamboo pole, wooden stick and other insulation to open the wire.
2. Move the shocked person out of the power supply to a ventilated and dry place, lie on his back, relax his jacket and belt, observe whether the shocked person breathes, and touch the carotid artery for pulsation.
3. Perform first aid. If the breathing and heartbeat of the shocked person are stopped, artificial respiration should be performed at the same time as cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and another ambulance should be called in time.
4. Go to the hospital as soon as possible, and continue to be rescued on the way.

Warning:

● Never use moist tools or metallic materials to pull apart the wires.
● Do not touch live persons with hands.
● Do not move the person with wet objects.

(4) What to do if an electrical fire occurs

1. Turn off the power immediately.
2. Extinguish the fire with a fire extinguisher, but use fire blankets, quilts and other items to extinguish the flames when the TV or computer catches fire.
3. When the power cannot be cut off, use non-conductive fire extinguishing agent to extinguish the fire, and do not use water and foam fire extinguishing agent.
4. Quickly dial "110" or "119" to call the police.

Warning

● When the power has not been cut off, do not pour water on electrical appliances or switches.
● If the electrical appliance or plug is still on fire, do not touch the switch of the electrical appliance with your hands.

(5) What to do if the wire is dropped

1. It is found that the wire is broken on the ground and cannot be picked directly by hand.
2. Send a guard to prevent people and vehicles from approaching, especially when the high-voltage wire breaks on the ground, it should be away from its 8 meters.
3. Inform the electrician or power supply department to deal with it.
