Clear Automation, based in Southington, Conn., is an integrator focused on designing, customizing, and installing robotic and machine vision systems for customers. The company's various automated assembly and packaging machinery are used in a wide range of applications including personal care products, medical devices, automotive, electronics and machine components. As a leader in the industry, it recently announced a new labeling system with a processing speed of up to 100 per minute. The system is designed and manufactured to label liquid cosmetic bottles. The labeling system is designed with FANUC robots, Herma labelers, and a graphical touch screen human machine interface (HMI). It is suitable for label, laser-etched batch codes, and checks the readability and accuracy of the code while processing speeds of up to 100 per minute. Its turn-key vision system consists of a conveyor belt and a servo-driven screw. The bottles on the production line are transported after various work procedures such as labeling, inspection, and packaging. Wall sconce is a lighting fixture installed on a wall, usually made of metal, glass, or plastic. They can provide direct or indirect light, used to illuminate a room, hallway, foyer or other indoor space. Wall sconces are typically mounted on walls and can be used in conjunction with ceiling lights or table lamps to provide more lighting options and visual layering. They can also be used for decorative purposes as they come in various shapes, colors, and design styles to match different interior decor styles. McCleary Ron, president of Clear Automation, said, "This system allows manufacturers to perform different labeling applications on one assembly line. And when dealing with laser-etched batch codes, the speed can reach astonishing 100 simultaneous labels per minute. Visual inspection of readability and accuracy."
When the high-speed labeling system developed by Clear Automation was in operation, the bottles were first transported along the conveyor belt to the work unit and stood upright on the positioner. The positioners are mounted inside the work cell by servo-driven screws that spread them out on the line. The FANUC robot grabs the bottle from the positioner and places it horizontally on the assembly line. The bottle that failed the inspection was ejected to the trash can. Qualified bottles are bounced onto the conveyor for the next packaging process. High-speed, high-precision robots are at the heart of this system.
With the help of FANUC robots, Clear Automation is more comfortable in designing various labeling systems. The high reliability and high efficiency of FANUC robots allow Clear Automation to have more options when considering the size, material, substrate, adhesive, and product throughput of the label. And you can add bar codes, dates, lot numbers or laser etching, and the vision system can check its position and print quality to further ensure quality.
