The Ministry of Commerce officially released two standards for building decoration materials

The "Technical Requirements for Environment-Friendly Building Materials and Decorative Materials" (SB/T 10727-2012) and "Standards for the Management and Classification of Building Decoration Materials Distribution Enterprises" (SB/T 10724-2012) were drafted by the China Building Materials Distribution Association. The standards were issued by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China on August 1, 2012 (Announcement No. 47 of 2012 of the Ministry of Commerce) and will be formally implemented on November 1 this year.

According to the requirements of the Ministry of Commerce's “Circular on the First Batch of Domestic Trade Industry Standard Projects in 2010” (Commercial Offices and Construction Letters [2010] No. 377), the China Building Materials Distribution Association is responsible for “Environmental Building Materials and Technical Specifications for Decorative Materials and Regulations and Grades of Management and Distribution of Building Decoration Materials Distribution Enterprises (Formulation of the Names of the “Building Materials and Decorative Materials Distribution Marks” and “Building Decoration Materials Distribution Enterprises Management and Management Standards”) jobs.

After going through the necessary stages of drafting, completing the solicitation draft, soliciting opinions, and submitting the review draft, the Ministry of Commerce organized an expert review meeting in Beijing on February 10, 2012. The participating experts proposed amendments to the draft for review. Opinions and unanimously adopted the review of the drafts for the two standards. The drafting group revised and improved the standard according to expert opinion and submitted a draft for approval, which was reported to the Ministry of Commerce according to relevant procedures.

August 1, 2012, "Technical Requirements for Environmentally-Friendly Building Materials and Decorative Materials" (SB/T 10727-2012) and "Standards for the Management and Classification of Building Decoration Materials Distribution Enterprises" (SB/T 10724-2012) The standard was formally issued by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and will be formally implemented on November 1 of the same year. The implementation of the "Technical Requirements for Environment-Friendly Building Materials and Decorative Materials" (SB/T 10727-2012) will further protect consumers' right to know the environmental performance of building materials and decorative materials, and promote the healthy and orderly development of the industry. The implementation of the "SB/T 10724-2012" standard for the operation and management of building decoration materials distribution companies will enable the company to obtain basic qualifications such as qualifications, business premises, equipment and personnel quality, as well as procurement, sales, storage, credit and finance. Such as business management has a unified standard system.

In order to enable the above two new standards to be implemented in a timely and accurate manner, the China Building Materials Distribution Association will hold two standard publicity events this year. Specific activities will be announced separately.
