Fertilization of crops on the foliage is also called top dressing. It is an effective way to quickly supplement nutrients, remove the physiological diseases caused by lack of nutrients, promote crop growth and increase yield. The concentration of foliar fertilizer is very important. The concentration is too high, which not only causes fat damage, but even “burns†the damaged leaf surface and tissue, and the trace elements such as too high concentration may cause poisoning; while the concentration is too low, the fertilizer effect is not obvious. The appropriate concentrations of several commonly used foliar fertilizers are described below.
1. The spraying concentration of urea is usually 1% to 1.5% (that is, 100 kg of water plus 1 to 1.5 kg of urea); in this range, the concentration of dicotyledonous plants may be lower; monocotyledonous plants may have a higher concentration. At the seedling stage, the concentration may be suitably lower; during the seedling stage, the concentration may be suitably higher.
2. The common spraying concentration of calcium phosphate is 2% to 3%. After the fertilizer is added with water, it should be fully stirred. After standing for 24 hours, it is filtered and taken with clear liquid.
