[Inventory] Foreign companies that have built or proposed to build lithium battery factories in China

We have found that China has become a global new energy vehicle market. Driven by the interests, many foreign battery suppliers have come to China to build factories. Therefore, domestic power lithium battery manufacturers should always maintain a sense of competition, continue to study technological innovation, and strive to occupy a favorable position in the market competition.
Today, we will take stock of foreign companies that have or plan to build lithium battery factories in China.
1 Germany Bosch Group wants to build a lithium battery factory in China
It is said that German Bosch wants to build a lithium battery factory in China and produce power batteries to supply the Chinese market.
As a global automotive technology supplier, Bosch specializes in precision machinery and electrical engineering and has been known for its innovative and cutting-edge products and system solutions. In terms of power battery technology, Bosch acquired Seeo, a startup in California, in 2014. It is understood that Seeo has leading battery technology, especially new solid-state batteries.
Through the cooperation of several R&D centers around the world, Bosch announced that it has developed lithium batteries that do not contain liquid electrolytes. This battery does not require a cooling system and does not present a fire hazard like a traditional lithium battery. In addition, Bosch also announced that it will release a new solid-state electric vehicle battery by 2020, which will double the cruising range of electric vehicles and halve the cost.

2 Panasonic will invest in China to build a lithium battery factory to start production in 2017
It is reported that Panasonic will build a lithium-ion battery factory in Dalian, China, with an investment of 50 billion yen (about 412 million US dollars). Located in northeastern Dalian, the plant will produce rectangular batteries for electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids. Panasonic will build a factory with its Chinese partners and put it into production in 2017.
In China, Panasonic has built a factory to manufacture personal computer batteries, and the new factory will be Panasonic's factory dedicated to producing electric vehicle batteries. The factory produces batteries for 200,000 electric vehicles per year. China is developing environmentally friendly vehicles, including electric vehicles, and air pollution has plagued many cities in China.
Panasonic is the world's leading manufacturer of lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles. It has built a lithium battery factory with Tesla in the United States. By transferring production capacity to China, Panasonic hopes to consolidate its business in two key markets in China and the United States.
3 Volkswagen plans to build 10 battery factories in China
Matthias Müller, President of Volkswagen Global, recently announced the Group's "2025 Strategy": In the next 10 years, a considerable part of Volkswagen's models will be electric-driven. The company expects to achieve capacity of 2 to 3 million pure electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles by 2025. As the core component of electric vehicles, the power battery is produced by the Volkswagen China factory.
According to reports, Volkswagen needs 10 battery factories in the future to support its huge production capacity. The cost of each battery factory is about 2 billion euros. Therefore, the Volkswagen Group has to spend 20 billion euros to build a battery factory in China.
4 LG Chemical builds production base in China
South Korea's LG Chem is the third largest supplier of electric vehicle batteries. Panasonic hopes that China has its own production base to increase the battery supply to automakers. Its goal is to make the business's annual revenue in China reach 100 billion. yuan.
The LG Chemical Nanjing plant was completed in October last year and plans to supply more than 550,000 battery products in China starting in 2016. The Nanjing base will be combined with South Korea's Wucang and the Holland Holland plant to form LG Chem's three global battery production bases. In this arrangement, the South Korea Wucang plant will become a complementary and regulating production plant, with Nanjing and US plants. Meet local customer needs.
5 Samsung SDI battery factory put into production in Xi'an
At the end of October last year, the Samsung SDI battery factory was put into production in Xi'an, and its production line will produce 40,000 high-performance automotive (pure electric EV standard) batteries per year.
Foreign companies such as Bosch, Samsung, LG, Panasonic, and Volkswagen have flooded into the Chinese market, which has already had a huge impact on domestic battery companies. Under such an impact, domestic enterprises will be in jeopardy if they do not remain vigilant and do not "work hard" in terms of product performance and technology.

Notch Filter

Notch filters (BEF, band inhibition) can transmission most wavelengths, but attenuates light to very low levels in a specific wavelength range (BEF). Notch filters, in contrast to band-pass filters, only inhibit light in a narrower wavelength range.
