In the layer, the ability to absorb water is weak, cold and drought-tolerant, but perishable under high humidity conditions. It has a long life span and generally dies gradually after 2 years. In addition to having absorption function, it also has the function of storing nutrients. It grows well in soils with fertile soil, sufficient nutrients, and strong fertilizer and water retention functions. In the sandy soil with water leakage and leakage, more organic fertilizer should be applied to improve soil fertility, which can still be a suitable soil for cultivation of amaranth, especially suitable for cultivating alfalfa roots. Amaranth has certain adaptability to saline-alkali soil. However, a suitable soil pH is 6.0 to 7.5. The salt content shall not be higher than 0.2%.
(2) Fertilizer dynamics of leek: Leek is very resistant to fertilizer. To obtain high-quality and high-yield amaranth products, it is necessary to ensure the supply of fertilizer, especially to increase the application of fully decomposed organic fertilizer. The amount of fertilizer required for different growth stages of leek is different. Although the growth amount is small in the seedling stage and the amount of fertilizer is small, the root absorption capacity is weak. In addition to the application of the base fertilizer, the quick-acting fertilizer should be applied in stages. 2 to 4 years old leeks grow vigorously, strong tillers, high yields, and large amounts of fertilizer. Especially in the spring and autumn harvest season, it is the peak period of fertilizer. For leek over 5 years old, the peak period of vegetative growth has passed and gradually entered the aging stage. In order to prevent premature aging and maintain high birth years, fertilizers need to be added.
Amaranth is mainly based on nitrogen fertilizer, with appropriate amount of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer. The nitrogen fertilizer is sufficient and the leaves are fresh and tender; the appropriate amount of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer can promote the synthesis and transportation of sugar, increase the yield and improve the quality.
In the production of leeks, the relationship between the lower part of the ground and the upper part of the ground is coordinated. Therefore, in the cultivation management, strengthen the fertilizer and water management, promote the growth of vegetative growth and carbohydrates, and control the number of harvesting.
