It is understood that nitrogen-enriched transition metal nitrides are the most promising catalysts for the next generation of clean energy and renewable energy. However, the process of infiltrating nitrogen atoms into the crystal lattice of the transition metal to form nitrides is extremely difficult. Recently, the scientific team led by Ge Hui and Wen Xiaodong prepared a new structure of nitrogen-rich molybdenum-nitrogen binary compound 3R-MoN2 by using high temperature and high pressure solid-phase ion exchange method, which is expected to replace MoS2 as the parent material of the next generation of catalysts. In the photoelectric materials, energy conversion, environmental catalysis and other fields have been widely used.
