Hydro Aluminium extrusion plant announces increase in energy surcharges

Comprehensive foreign report: Hydro Aluminum extrusion plant on Wednesday announced an increase in energy surcharges, this move is valid for orders shipped after September 1, 2008.


Lynn Brown, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Alcoa's aluminum extrusion plant in the United States, said: "Although energy tensions have temporarily eased in the past few weeks, energy prices in the future are still unpredictable. In this case, we must increase conversion prices and energy. Surcharges and increases in energy surcharges are all based on data published by the US Department of Energy (DOE). This is a fair and effective method of dealing with current fluctuations in energy prices. At the same time, we are also aware that this measure is not applicable. For each customer."


The increase in energy surcharges will be revised monthly based on data released by the U.S. Department of Energy regarding natural gas, diesel, and industrial electricity, and adjusted for orders for this month.
