Recently, Tang Yongbing, a researcher of the Functional Thin Film Materials Research Center of the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and his research team, together with Professor Zheng Zijian of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, proposed a flexible interface design strategy to control the interface stress of high-capacity silicon anodes It has been successfully applied to a new type of silicon-graphite dual-ion battery, and related research results "Flexible Interface Design for Stress Regulation of a Silicon Anode toward Highly Stable Dual-Ion Batteries" have been published online in the international materials journal "Advanced Materials" (Adv. Mater . 2020, 1908470).

Silicon anodes have a high theoretical capacity (4200 mAh g-1) and abundant reserves. They are ideal anode materials for improving the energy density of dual-ion batteries. However, the serious volume expansion (> 300%) of silicon anodes restricts its application in dual-ion batteries. Although researchers have proposed various modification schemes such as nanometerization, porous structure, and composite structure, most of them use metal materials as current collectors. The rigid interface contact between the silicon anode and the current collector causes interface stress concentration, resulting in interface cracking or even The peeling of the active material makes it difficult for the cycle performance to meet the actual application requirements.

Based on this, Tang Yongbing and his team members Jiang Chunlei, Xiang Lei, Miao Shijie and others proposed a flexible interface design strategy to effectively control the interface stress. By constructing the silicon negative electrode on the surface of the flexible polymer fabric, and designing an interface buffer layer with good conductivity between the two, the stress concentration at the interface is significantly relieved, and the material still maintains good structural integrity after 50,000 bendings. The team matched it with the expanded graphite cathode material and successfully constructed a new silicon-graphite dual ion battery (SGDIB); research shows that the dual ion battery has an ultra-high rate of up to 150 C (charging <30 seconds) and long cycle life The capacity retention rate after 2000 cycles at 10 C rate is as high as 97%. In addition, this flexible silicon-graphite battery exhibits excellent flexibility and bending resistance. The capacity retention rate after 1500 bending is ~ 84%, and the single pressure drop during 10,000 bending is only 0.0015%. It shows good application prospects in the field of high-performance flexible energy storage. This study also provides an effective solution for improving the cycling stability of high-capacity alloyed anodes.

Construction Notes

1. When the structure is constructed, the verticality and flatness of the outer wall should meet the standard requirements. The dust, dirt and grease on the surface of the base are removed.

2. On the base plastering surface, first hang the vertical and horizontal control lines, and then hang out the tile control line according to the size and arrangement of the tiles.

3. When the tile is pasted, the mortar should be full. It is not advisable to knock and move more. Especially after the mortar is collected, it cannot be corrected.

4. After the caulking is completed according to the design requirements, clean the surface with a clean cloth.

5. About 30 hours after the completion of the caulking (depending on the weather at the time), and after the brick joint has solidified to a certain strength, rinse the brick surface thoroughly from top to bottom with clean water.
